Comments:

Croxley Mill John Dickinson established the Croxley mill in 1830, beside the Grand Canal in Hertfordshire, UK, near London. John Dickins on was the inventor of the mould papermachine in 1809, and had previous to Croxley run Apsley and Nash mills. By 1838 Croxley mill was producing 14 ton of paper a week. In the 1871 paper directory Croxley mill is listed as being run by J. Dickinson & Co and producing Printing paper. The mill prospered for a while, however in the 1970’s it lost large amounts of money due to rising costs and falling demand. It was closed in December 1980 and demolished.
